As the organizational lead at Columbus Recycling, Gregg is the keeper of the company’s “always do the right thing” culture. He joined the company in 1991 as VP Operations and later purchased the company in 1996. Gregg has since driven the growth of the company, both organically and through the acquisition and integration of four processors since 2000. Gregg is focused on developing and supporting our corporate strategy and positive customer relationships. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University.
Jerry Frost President
Jerry Frost joined Columbus Recycling as Chief Financial Officer in July 2014 and transitioned to President in 2017. He brings over 20 years of financial and management experience to the company. Before Columbus Recycling, Jerry served as CFO for Truck Bodies & Equipment International, Inc. (TBEI), a leading truck body and trailer hoist manufacturing company. Frost also held significant roles at Ox Bodies, Inc. and Arthur Andersen, LLP. Jerry graduated from Mississippi State University. He has obtained a master’s degree and is a CPA.
Nelda Umfress Chief Operating Officer
Since joining Columbus Recycling in 1981, Nelda is the Chief Facility Manager for five locations. She oversees processing, shipping, customer service, and training. With Nelda’s hard work, the company’s operations across the five locations have become very dynamic and continuous. She is a graduate of the Mississippi University for Women.
Kari Carrouth Chief Financial Officer
Kari Carrouth joined Columbus Recycling as Chief Financial Officer in April 2017. She brings over 20 years of financial and management experience to the company. Before Columbus Recycling, Kari served as Corporate Controller for Truck Bodies & Equipment International, Inc. (TBEI), a leading truck body and trailer hoist manufacturing company. Carrouth is a CPA and graduate of the University of Alabama.
Troy Blanton Vice President Sales & Marketing
A seasoned professional with extensive knowledge and experience in the recycling business; Troy works in conjunction with Robert Craig, managing key customer relationships, purchasing, and sales of both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Prior to joining Columbus Recycling in 2013, Troy was the Vice President at PSC Metals. He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University.
Robert Craig Past President
Managing and enhancing key customer relationships is just one of the many hats that Robert wears at Columbus Recycling. He also is involved in purchasing as well as the sales of certain non-ferrous materials as the President. Prior to joining Columbus Recycling in 2004, Robert previously worked as a purchasing agent at Morris Scrap Metal. He is a graduate of Lipscomb University.
